Preventative Plumbing

Did you know that there are certain valves and mechanisms on your hot water service that need replacing every five years? Did you know that some of those flexible hoses attached to your taps are ticking time bombs if not replaced when showing signs of wear? Count the number of taps in your home. Do they turn on and off easily every time? Are there any drips? How is your water pressure? Did you know that if it exceeds the manufacturers specifications your tap fittings are more susceptible to failing and warranty replacement is unlikely?

These are just some of the many things that can go wrong with your household plumbing. We should all consider implementing Preventative Plumbing into our household maintenance.

Regular assessment and maintenance is essential for the wellbeing of all your plumbing areas – kitchens, laundries, bathrooms, garden taps, sewers, rain water tanks, stormwater etc. All need to be regularly monitored to minimise the real possibility of things going wrong which can not only be expensive but very inconvenient.

Comprehensive check list

At H2Pro we can perform a comprehensive checklist at your home, take photos of problem areas and keep all these details securely on file as reference for any of our team when they are on your property. A plumbing inspection takes around 15 minutes and we like you to walk around with us so we can show you what we are looking for. By regularly maintaining your plumbing, both you and your plumber become more familiar with your house and any ongoing or potential plumbing issues you might have. Once the inspection is completed you will be handed a detailed report on whether items passed or failed our testing.

Our plumbers will also complete a recommended list of items that need attention and will be able to determine whether the action required is urgent or should just be kept an eye on. Whilst we can identify potential risks and fix them on the spot at a lower cost than an emergency job, this report is obligation free and it is completely up to you as to whether you want us to proceed with any further work. It is all part of our CARE philosophy.

A plumbing safety inspection report should be performed at least once a year depending on your home.

Remember there is no obligation and the report is free.
