Blocked Drain in Donvale: CCTV Inspection Finds the Cause

A Donvale homeowner contacted H2PRO Plumbing after noticing water leaking from a drain underneath their decking. They also mentioned hearing gurgling noises coming from the bathroom, which raised concerns that the main drain could be blocked rather than just the kitchen sink.

To access the affected area, our plumbers carefully removed the decking boards above the drain location. We then used a combination of high-pressure water jetting and plunging to clear the drainage system.

During the process, our CCTV inspection revealed a build-up of fat and grease inside the overflow relief gully. Over time, this restricted water flow and caused the drainage issue.

The Result

The kitchen drain was cleared and the drainage system was restored to proper working order. The homeowner also had peace of mind knowing the main sewer line was clear and there was no larger underground drainage issue.
